I've been to 17 years of compensation committee meetings as staff representing management. In this capacity I've worked on the usual material of proposing executive pay to committee members, disussing plan redesign possibilities, developing and reviewing company peer groups and justifying new hire or retention pay packages for critical talent. My experience has also required me to work through the complications of multiple acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and spin-offs with the compensation committee.
